Partnering alongside us are local groups who have made their commitment to sustainability and consistently provide educational resources.

Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce: Incorporated in 1919, the Reno + Sparks Chamber of Commerce is the largest business organization in northern Nevada. The Chamber is the voice for business in Washoe County by focusing on the three pillars of value: Advocacy on behalf of all businesses, Information and education for members, and Connectivity with members and consumers. The R+S Chamber is encouraging its member restaurants to become green dining establishments, focus on greening their operations, and joining the Nevada green business program.

The City of Reno has maintained a commitment towards sustainability and community care. 

greenUP! is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. It was started in 2008 to pull together environmental non-profits in the Reno-Tahoe region to share information and promote common initiatives. Since 2019, greenUP! has been providing environmental education to businesses in Nevada through the Nevada Green Business Network and Green Dining programs, which are intended to help businesses cut down on waste, reduce valuable resource consumption, and fight climate change in an environmentally safe and cost-effective manner.

Hungry in Reno is an organization focused on boosting local food and drink joints, dishing out the latest and greatest news from the culinary world, and cooking up exciting, innovative experiences for both locals and visitors.

Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to creating a more sustainable and beautiful region through waste reduction, education and active community involvement. KTMB is an affiliate of the national organization Keep America Beautiful. 

Reusable Reno, a volunteer coalition, is committed to raising awareness about the single-use waste problem and in working together to implement solutions to reduce single-use waste in our communities. We are pro-business and pro-environment, and facilitate connections between individuals and organizations to embrace a shift to reuse. Our collaboration with regional and national networks supports and informs us on best practices in sustainability programs and in policy developments that offer positive change.

With a population of over 650,000 and over 20,000 businesses, The City of Las Vegas is a leader in sustainability efforts and makes it a priority to meet the needs of the present without compromising the needs of future generations. Solar, recycling, renewable energy and water conservation are all components needed to ensure a city’s success and longevity. The City’s partnership with the Nevada Green Business Program and Green Dining Nevada will provide businesses and restaurants with assistance to improve upon their sustainability efforts to make a positive impact on the community’s quality of life and future.

This organization is dedicated to the future growth and success of small businesses within the Downtown Reno area. It is more important today than ever before for small businesses to be supportive of each other, and determined to be progressive and productive for the benefit of all downtown area businesses. Networking amongst our other business owners is one of the most beneficial ways to market our small businesses and support our community. Networking with like-minded business owners builds relationships, and a successful business is built on relationships.
